Beulah Harvest

Beulah Harvest is more than a transition home—it is a place where broken lives begin to heal and men are given a renewed chance to live with faith, purpose, and dignity. Led by Frank Vargas, and supported by Roger Forster and Scott Green, this faith-based ministry welcomes men coming out of prison and reminds them that their past does not determine their future. Through love, accountability, and the truth of God’s Word, they are encouraged to rebuild their lives step by step.

Out at Beulah Harvest, the land itself mirrors the heart of the ministry. The orchards of peaches and pears are more than just crops—they represent growth, patience, and restoration. As the men work the soil and care for the land, they are also learning to cultivate their own hearts and futures. It is powerful to witness a man who once felt hopeless begin to develop faith, confidence, and responsibility.

This ministry is especially meaningful to me because I never want to see men feel forgotten or defeated. I value serving at Beulah Harvest because it is a place where true healing takes place. It is where men discover peace, brotherhood, and a fresh start through God’s grace. Seeing lives transformed and men becoming productive, faithful individuals is a reminder that God is still actively working in restoration and redemption.

Operation Kindness

We were truly blessed to have Operation Kindness partner with Ellis County Christian Men's Job Corps and Primera Baptist Church to serve our neighbors and community in a meaningful and impactful way.

Through this special outreach, dog food was distributed to help families who may be struggling to provide for their pets, along with treats and collars for their beloved dogs. We are grateful for the compassion and generosity shown by Operation Kindness, and we are excited that they plan to travel from Carrollton to Waxahachie at least three times a year to continue this important work.

Thank you, Operation Kindness, for partnering with us in loving and serving both people and their pets in our community.

Serving behind the walls with the love of Christ

"REMEMBER THOSE IN PRISON AS IF YOU WERE TOGETHER WITH THEM IN PRISON, AND THOSE WHO ARE MISTREATED AS IF YOU YOURSELVES WERE SUFFERING.''-HEBREWS 13:3

The Ellis County Christian Men’s Job Corps is honored to stand in partnership with and support Kairos Prison Ministry International as we serve men within correctional facilities with compassion, encouragement, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe every life holds value, every soul is worthy of hope, and no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Through prayer, presence, and acts of service, we are committed to bringing light into places of darkness and reminding others that true freedom is found in Christ.

We are convinced that when we serve those behind prison walls, we are not merely offering hope—we are carrying the love, grace, and freedom of Jesus Christ to hearts that remain deeply cherished by God.

At Ellis County Christian Men's Job Corp, we are genuinely grateful to have Kelly Meeks as a valued member of our team.

Kelly leads our Basic Employability Skills class and consistently invests her time, energy, and heart into preparing men for their future. She equips them with essential workplace skills—from résumé writing and job applications to interview preparation and professional communication—all of which are critical for success in today’s workforce.

Even more importantly, Kelly is a God-fearing woman with a true servant’s heart. Her patience, kindness, and commitment are evident in every class she teaches. She believes in the men she serves, encourages them through their growth, and helps build their confidence step by step.

Kelly Meeks strengthens the Ellis County Christian Men's Job Corp through her faithful service, teaching, and willingness to make a lasting impact in the lives of others. The organization is stronger because of people like her who dedicate themselves to serving with purpose and compassion.

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

“Education is not just about making a living; it’s about building a life with purpose.”

Kelly Meeks is deeply committed to teaching employability skills and equipping men for success both in the workplace and in life. From guiding individuals in crafting professional résumés to coaching them on confident interview communication and respectful responses, she invests wholeheartedly in every lesson. Her mission goes beyond helping people secure jobs—she strives to build confidence, instill purpose, and open doors to lasting opportunity and a better future.

“Let all that you do be done with love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

“Success begins when someone believes in you enough to teach you how to believe in yourself.”

As we prepare for our final employability skills class with Kelly Meeks, we are excited to see these men developing professional resumes, strengthening interview skills, and earning OSHA certifications that will open doors to construction employment and future opportunities.

This program is about far more than securing jobs—it is about building confidence, shaping character, and helping men step into a future filled with purpose.

We are deeply grateful for Kelly Meeks and her heart to serve, teach, and encourage every man who walks through the doors of Ellis County Christian Men’s Job Corps.

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings.” — Proverbs 22:29

Preparation today creates opportunity tomorrow. When knowledge, hard work, and faith come together, lives begin to change.
