Sharing a craft while also nurturing a bond in Christ not only builds skills but also deepens faith and fellowship. Its's a reminder of ECclesiastes 4:9-10: "“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow...” (KJV)"
Bret Odom, Rudy Hernandez, Bert Sigala, and Gabriel Hernandez stand together as leaders dedicated to growth, learning, and service. Their attendance at the BGCT Conference in Waco represents an intentional investment of time to deepen their understanding and gain insight for more effective ministry and stronger mentorship of men. This commitment reflects a unified desire to lead with wisdom, humility, and purpose while seeking practical tools and guidance to strengthen others and bring glory to God through faithful leadership.
Bible study and breakfast at Beulah Harvest Transition Home is a meaningful time of fellowship and renewal. As the men gather around the table to share a meal, they also open God’s Word together, discovering encouragement, hope, and direction for the next chapter of life. Studying Scripture with John King creates space for honest conversation, learning, and spiritual growth, reminding each man that his past does not define his future. These moments of fellowship strengthen faith, build brotherhood, and affirm that everyone has a place at the table.
In this moment, a group of men gathers in worship, turning their attention fully to God and choosing to rest in His presence. As Scripture declares, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), this time becomes an invitation to pause, reflect, and surrender. In the quiet, hearts are lifted, burdens are released, and faith is renewed. Together, they experience the peace that comes from slowing down before the Lord and allowing Him to work within their lives.
Before entering the prison, the Kairos Prison Ministry team gathers in unity, preparation, and purpose. Led by Art Brooks, this moment of prayer and worship reflects hearts that are ready to serve and fully yield to God’s direction. Together, the team prays, practices, and encourages one another, recognizing that the work ahead calls for faith, humility, and complete trust in the Lord. Standing side by side before entering, they are reminded that they do not go in alone—God goes before them, and they enter as one body in Christ.
In Brownsville, the River Ministry team pauses to share a meal together, using the time to build fellowship and prepare their hearts for the work ahead. Rudy Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, Daniel Solis, Jojo Solis, George Solis, and Bert Sigala gather around the table to enjoy food, conversation, and brotherhood, recognizing that ministry is often strengthened in these simple, shared moments. This time together fosters unity, encourages one another, and helps set the tone for serving with purpose, humility, and love as they continue forward in ministry side by side.

MENTOR NIGHT
On Mentor Day, Bert Sigala and Parker Ryburn share a meaningful moment that captures the heart of mentorship—real connection, genuine encouragement, and steady growth. This moment reflects what happens when a mentor gives his time and heart, and a mentee shows up ready to listen and learn: both are impacted in a lasting way.
Mentorship builds confidence, shapes character, and creates a safe place where stories can be shared, wisdom can be passed on, and hope can take root. Days like this remind us that every conversation carries weight, every relationship matters, and growth often happens in the simple, honest moments. Together, we grow stronger—one mentor, one mentee, one moment at a time.

As we prepare our hearts for Bible study led by Ryan Milstead, we are reminded that each gathering is sacred space—a time to pause, listen, and allow God to shape us from the inside out. The men coming together demonstrate a shared desire to grow, learn, and walk in faith side by side. A timeless reminder from the book of Proverbs speaks to us today: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” May this time in Scripture strengthen their spirits, deepen their brotherhood, and guide each step they take forward.
With tools in our hands and joy in our hearts, we celebrate all that God has accomplished through this vocational program. What began as a vision has grown into a living testimony—men developing skills, building confidence, and growing together in faith. As we lift our hammers and tape measures, we are not only marking progress in a trade, but also praising the Lord for the opportunity to shape stronger futures. Our laughter, teamwork, and even our leap of celebration all point to one truth: we are grateful, and we give God all the glory for allowing us to be part of something greater than ourselves.

We came together for a hands-on Valentine’s project, working side by side in unity, laughter, and brotherhood. As we measured, cut, and assembled, we were reminded that love is more than words—it is action. As 1 Corinthians 13:4 tells us, “Love is patient, love is kind,” and that is the kind of love we strive to demonstrate as we serve and grow together. Proverbs 27:17 also reminds us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” In unity, we were not only building a project—we were building one another up in Christ.
Joseph Crisp, Joe Gutierrez, and Lee Savala are strong examples of what it means to serve with humility and heart. These brothers consistently give their time, wisdom, and encouragement to the men of the Men’s Job Corps, pouring back into the very community that helped shape them. Whether mentoring, teaching, or simply showing up faithfully, their presence speaks volumes. They remind us that true leadership is found in service, and that giving back is more than an action—it is a calling lived out through love, commitment, and brotherhood.
As Genesis 26:9 records, “When the men of that place asked him about his wife, he said, ‘She is my sister,’” we are reminded that even in Scripture there are moments that invite deeper reflection and a greater pursuit of truth. In that same spirit of searching God’s Word, Jonathan Mixon, Jaiden Salazar, Edward Martinez, and Parker Ryburn are studying the Bible together, seeking clarity and direction for what God is calling them to become.
Under the leadership of Ryan Milstead, this time of study goes beyond instruction—it becomes a place of transformation. These brothers are engaging real questions, strengthening their faith, and growing together in Christ, sharpening one another as they pursue God’s purpose for their lives.
In this picture, Juan, Albert, and Aiden are fully engaged, with focused hearts and open Bibles as they lean in to prepare themselves to study the Word of God. Under the steady guidance of their teacher, Ryan Milstead, the room is filled with thoughtful discussion and a deep desire to grow in faith. These moments of study go beyond reading Scripture—they are times of transformation, where questions are explored, truth is received, and foundations are strengthened. It is powerful to see these men intentionally setting aside time to seek God together and build their lives upon His Word.
